Work From "Home"

Sometimes I do my office work from home. Sometimes I get asked to run errands for work. Sometimes the two merge together and I run a work errand on my personal bike:

Provided I have the time to do it, I can't complain. I prefer riding my own bike anyway, and yesterday this gave me an excuse to ride an extra 5 miles. I'm finally getting my cycling legs back.

Turns out I'm going to need them Monday, as we're going to have 3 cyclists scheduled off for vacation and I'll be called into active duty again. Anyway, happy weekend!

It's Like Riding a Bike, Which Doesn't Necessarily Make it Easy...

I went to Canada last week and took a break from literally everything, bicycling included. I got back on last evening for the first time in 9 days, taking a ride to see Third Eye Blind & Silversun Pickups at the Festival Pier:

I can't believe I'm about to type this, but I'm sore today after 9 miles of riding last night. Just goes to show how frustrating the human body can be. It takes months to build up stamina and muscle, but far less time to deplete it. In any case, the break was sorely (no pun intended) needed. I did miss my bike though. It's good to be home.

Bike Camp

Well, sort of.

I've been pretty busy of late, but I have been riding just about every day. There's not really anything noteworthy of late other than a brief jaunt in the wilderness with my girlfriend last weekend. Most of that was hiking, but we did sneak in a ride, so enjoy the "guest blog" in the mean time!
