At one point, Wash Cycle used electric-assist tricycles for deliveries almost exclusively. They were pretty nifty looking, but finding replacement parts was very difficult and they were somewhat of a bear to fix to begin with, so long story short, we stopped.
I'd all but forgotten about this chapter of our existence until recently when our fleet maintenance technician recently decided to start a reclamation project. The last piece of the puzzle is going to be getting one of these bad boys out of the weeds and over to the fabrication shop for some retro-fitting with newer, better and easier to use hardware and such:
I completed the first part today: ensuring these things would still roll after sitting idle for over a year. Shame to see 'em like this, but hopefully soon they'll be back on the road.
I refilled the tires and did a pseudo test. Knocking down the weeds was honestly the most challenging part of today's efforts. Riding this guy SLOWLY tomorrow should be a piece of cake...
