O Bike, Where art Thou?

I apologize for largely abandoning this space for the last month or so. Moving was a bit helter-skelter as it always is, and since I arrived in Columbus, I haven't had much free time.

I'll keep this short and sweet: all is well. I started a new job the day after I moved and I love it, even though I'm not riding a bike. It's been a hectic first few weeks training and such, but overall it's been pretty great. Even though we've seen some severe weather, I love working outside - always have, always will.

Commuting to and from has been a bit disjointed due to the aforementioned severe weather and time constraints. I've sometimes had to take my car to the office to save some time, which is a stark difference from my Philly routine. Still, this place has a lot to offer in the cycling world just from what I've seen on my occasional bike commutes. When I do ride to work, I pass through a bicycle boulevard in Upper Arlington:

And later, I hop on a short stretch of Columbus' first green way, the Scioto Trail:

And that's pretty much been the extent of my cycling ventures for the last month. Along with work, I spent a week with some family in Upstate New York, and my girlfriend and I went up to Toledo to visit one of my closest friends. Occasionally, I managed to get some sleep too. There really hasn't been any time for adventuring.

BUT, now that this crazy little stretch is over, I'm looking forward to getting back into a regular biking (and blogging) routine and seeing more of what this town has to offer. First up, there's a North High Pub Ride this weekend...
